HTV – Heat Transfer Vinyl is 500mm wide and sold per metre.
HTV is popular among crafters and small business owners for its versatility and ease of use, allowing for personalized designs and customizations. HTV is a type of vinyl material with an adhesive backing that becomes sticky when heat is applied. It’s typically made of polyurethane (PU) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). HTV comes with a carrier sheet (a clear backing) that holds the vinyl in place during cutting and pressing. The vinyl itself is the layer that gets transferred to the fabric.
Cutting Instructions:
1. Use the Preset Settings:
– Set your cutting machine to “Smooth Heat Transfer Vinyl” mode. This ensures that the machine uses the correct pressure and blade depth for HTV.
2. Test Cut:
– Before cutting your main design, always perform a test cut using a small “B” shape that is 1 inch high. This test cut helps you determine the ideal cut settings without wasting much material.
3. Adjust Settings if Needed:
– Check the test cut to ensure that the blade has cut through the vinyl but not the carrier sheet. Adjust the settings if necessary and retest until you get the perfect cut.
Pressing Instructions:
1. Temperature and Time:
– Set your heat press to 150°C.
– Press the vinyl for 10 seconds.
2. Peeling:
– After the initial press, remove the carrier sheet while the vinyl is still hot or warm (Hot/Warm Peel).
3. Final Press:
– Do a final 2-second press to ensure the vinyl is securely adhered to the fabric.

Care instructions
- Cold/Warm Wash, turn garment inside out
- Do not iron HTV
- Do not Tumble Dry
